Brown coy on Hull future

Hull City boss Phil Brown has refused to rule out the possibility that he might reform his management partnership with newly-installed Newcastle United chief Sam Allardyce.
Brown, who was Allardyce's number two at Bolton for six years, was handed a short-term contract when he replaced the sacked Phil Parkinson in December and succeeded in keeping the Tigers in the Championship.
But with no new deal yet on the table to keep him at the KC Stadium, Brown has revealed he could be tempted to reunite the partnership at Newcastle.
"Sam knows my situation and I know his, so in the next 48 hours something might have moved on but something might not have moved on," he said.
However, Brown is still hoping he will be offered a long-term contract by Hull chairman Adam Pearson.
"You never know in football, but all I'm thinking about at the moment is sitting down with the chairman of Hull City," he continued.
"These things can't be rushed, and I didn't want to rush them, because it's important for myself and Hull City that we get it right.
"We may have something to announce next week and I'm very confident I'll be the next manager of Hull City Football Club."
