Brown cools Turner rumours

Hull City boss Phil Brown has revealed that it would take a massive offer to prise centre-half Michael Turner away from the KC Stadium.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs after a string of impressive displays for the Tigers, but Brown is in no mood to lose Turner on the cheap.

He told the Hull Daily Mail: "Is Michael Turner for sale? Well I keep saying that every player in my squad is available if the right money was offered.

"But as far as Michael is concerned, it would take very big money for us to even consider it. As yet, I can say there has been no firm bid tabled for him.

"The season Michael is having, it would not surprise me that clubs from the Premier Leagues in England and Scotland are looking at him.

"All we are asking for from Michael is for him to maintain that level of consistency and we'll be there or thereabouts by the end of the season."
