Brown backs Tigers squad

19 Apr 2007 - 07:15:50

Hull City manager Phil Brown accepts his side are under severe pressure in their bid to beat the drop, but has backed his Tigers outfit to survive.

City are outside the bottom three on goal difference only, with their last games at Stoke City and Cardiff city and finally at home to Plymouth Argyle.

Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "You are going to have signs of nerves and tension, but I look at newspapers in the build-up to games and everyone is under pressure.

"I came in here halfway through the season and because of our start, it was always going to be a relegation battle this season.

"We've still got enough to survive. With three games to go, people are telling me how many points we need, but we'll take each game as it comes."
