Bridges heads to Sydney

Hull City striker Michael Bridges has reportedly left the club to join Australian side Sydney FC on loan. The 29-year-old made just 15 appearances after joining the Tigers from Carlisle United last summer and has penned an initial deal that will keep him Down Under until the end of January. Meanwhile, Hull boss Phil Brown has denied claims that he has approached Blackburn Rovers in a bid to sign Dutch striker Maceo Rigters on loan. "There's been no contact with Blackburn" he told the Hull Daily Mail. "It's a simple case of it being that if we think there's a player out there who can improve what we've got, then we will consider it. "We're looking at all of the Premiership clubs and the players who are not currently playing, but that will go for most teams in the Championship."
