Boateng impressed by Brown

22 Oct 2008 - 12:44:21

Hull City midfielder George Boateng has hailed the influence of Tigers boss Phil Brown as a key factor to the club's superb start to life in the Premier League.

City currently occupy third place in the table, having taken 17 points from eight games and having lost just once.

Summer recruit Boateng told the Hull Daily Mail: "He comes across very nice but he doesn't take nonsense. He sees all of us equal.

"At the end of the day, I didn't come here to be liked or just to enjoy the ride, I came here to win football matches. If someone is not doing their job properly, that will cause me not to perform well.

"I think we have a wonderful manager in the way he expresses himself to the group, to the press and in the dressing room.

"He asks what we think of a system, should we change or should we do this? That is good to me.

"Some managers do not want the feedback, they have got their own ideas and the players have to do it.

"This manager listens to what we have to say and then he makes his decision and we get on with things. At the moment things are going very well for all of us."

What a surprise Hull City are the Bees Knees what a great attitude, I hope they keep it up and knock a few more of the top guys off. Brown deserves all the credit and do so the players.

That's an attribute of a good manager having feed back from followers. No wonder Hull is occupying the 3rd place on the table. Ride on Brown we are behind you
