Barmby calls for patience

Nicky Barmby has urged Hull City supporters to be patient following a dismal start to the campaign.
The veteran midfielder scored in Tuesday evening's Carling Cup defeat by Watford as the Tigers' winless run stretched to seven games in all competitions.
But despite the recent barren spell which has seen City slip to the foot of the Championship table, Barmby has called for patience and believes under-fire manager Phil Parkinson can stop the rot.
"I think the positive thing to come out of the game was that the lads believed and we matched a Premiership side and in spells, there was only one team getting the ball down and playing football," he told the club's official website.
"When we did that in the second half we created chances and were a bit unfortunate.
"The lads know that. The main thing is that we all have to stick together - fans, players, everyone.
"Ever since I arrived at the club, I have always said that when we play football we look like a good side.
"But we just need to have a little bit more belief because we have got good players at this club."
