Wolves pounce for draw

Goal-shy Wolves twice came from behind to claim a 2-2 draw in their vital Barclays Premier League relegation clash at Hull. Hull struck after 11 minutes as Jozy Altidore raced onto a long ball and shrugged off the attention of Christophe Berra. Altidore found Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink on the edge of the area. The Dutchman fired low past Marcus Hahnemann with a clinical left-footed drive from inside the 'D'. Wolves were gifted their first equaliser as Anthony Gardner committed a horrendous gaffe. Ronald Zubar dispossessed Stephen Hunt and lobbed a harmless cross into the box. Gardner was under no pressure as he attempted to sweep clear but the ball spun wickedly off his left foot and looped over Boaz Myhill. Hull hit back just four minutes later. Zubar this time cost his side as he bundled over Altidore in the box as the American chased an innocuous bouncing ball. Mike Dean pointed to the spot and Hunt, the subject of three failed bids from Wolves this month, fired in his sixth of the season. Wolves pulled level through Matty Jarvis after 67 minutes. Hull twice missed opportunities to clear a Kevin Foley cross and Jarvis squeezed a shot past Myhill with aid of a slight deflection off Paul McShane.
