Windass back with Tigers

Dean Windass marked his return to Hull City by scoring for the reserves after his loan at Oldham Athletic was officially cancelled.[LNB] The veteran striker had joined the Latics back in January on a deal which was due to last until the end of the season.[LNB]He scored once in 11 League One appearances for Oldham, but had found himself on the substitutes' bench of late.[LNB]The recent departure of John Sheridan as manager prompted the two clubs to discuss Windass' return to the KC Stadium.[LNB]Windass is unable to play in the Premier League for the Tigers, but is understood to be helping out with coaching and can also feature for the reserves.[LNB]The 39-year-old turned out for the reserves on Tuesday night and marked his first appearance back in a City shirt with a goal against Bolton Wanderers.[LNB]Oldham, who have brought Joe Royle back to the club as manager, have now confirmed that Windass' loan has been officially cut short.[LNB]
