Tottenham's 'crazy' fixtures may force Harry Redknapp to wear Juande Ramos' suit

The Spurs manager, whose side defeated Hull last night, has not lost his sense of humour despite the Londoners' punishing schedule. [LNB]Tottenham play Shaktar Donetsk in Thursday's Uefa Cup tie, before meeting Manchester United on Sunday. Redknapp joked that Spurs will not have time to visit the tailors before Wembley. And in keeping with the current climate, he suggested they will have to manage with those suits originally made for last year's Carling Cup final against Chelsea. [LNB] "We can't afford suits at 'Tottingham'," said Redknapp, in reference to Ossie Ardiles' famous vocals in Spurs' 1981 FA Cup final song. "We've got suits we had measured up last year. I don't know if (Juande) Ramos' suit is going to fit me!" [LNB]Spurs gave themselves some breathing space at the bottom of the Premier League with a 2-1 victory at the KC Stadium. [LNB]Jonathan Woodgate headed home Benoît Assou-Ekotto's cross with just four minutes remaining of a scrappy but entertaining contest between two struggling sides. [LNB]The win lifted Spurs five points above the relegation zone, but Redknapp is angry that his side cannot now concentrate on Wembley. [LNB] "Whoever heard of playing a game Thursday night before playing a cup final at the weekend?' he said. [LNB] "People have been in cup finals over the years – you don't go and play Thursday night. You go away for two or three days to a hotel somewhere and rest and get ready for the cup. [LNB] "The whole fixture list is crazy. It's a crazy week. Monday, Thursday, Sunday before a showpiece game against Manchester United at Wembley!" [LNB]Redknapp now intends to make "about 11" changes for Thursday's game and makes no apologies. [LNB] "Staying in the Premier League is more important than anything else," he said. "Tonight was a massive step towards doing that." [LNB]One slight concern was a head wound suffered by Woodgate which required stitches but Redknapp was not unduly concerned. [LNB] "He's a tough nut, I don't see him not playing at Wembley," he said.
