City of Manchester Stadium

Manchester City lead 4-0 at half time and in one of the most bizarre Premier league moments Phil Brown decided to have his half time team talk in front of the travelling support on the pitch.

He felt they had let them down and wanted to apologise to the away faithful. Hull City ended up getting beaten 5-1 that day and a year later in the same fixture Hull managed to take a point away from the Manchester side.

Manchester City were leading 1-0 until Jimmy Bullard stepped up to tuck away his penalty and make the game 1-1 with eight minutes remaining. The celebration that followed will go down in Premier league history however as Bullard imitated last year’s telling off by sitting all his teammates on the ground in a circle and pointing the finger at them pretending to be Phil Brown.

Sadly Jimmy Bullard has had to retire due to injury to his knees which had plagued his whole career but a great character on the football field that will be truly missed by English football fans.
