Skysports.com understands Hull are weighing up a move for former Manchester City defender Glauber Berti.
Glauber is available on a free transfer after leaving City earlier this summer following just one season at Eastlands.
The 26-year-old only made one substitute appearance for City, but Hull could be ready to offer the central defender a return to the Premier League.
Tigers boss Phil Brown is believed to be in the market for defensive reinforcements having lost Michael Turner to Sunderland.
Glauber's agent, Jose Renato Martinez, has confirmed the 26-year-old has linked up with Hull on trial as he looks to win a move to the KC Stadium.
"Yes, Hull have shown an interest in Glauber," Martinez told skysports.com.
"I think he is there for two to three days training with them.
"A move is not 100 per cent, but we are hopeful something might happen."
