Tigers suffer injury blow

Hull City forward Richard Garcia is facing three months on the sidelines after suffering knee ligament damage. The Australian sustained the injury in training prior to the club's trip to China for the Asia Trophy and has not travelled to the Far East with the rest of the Tigers squad. Scan results confirmed the damage and manager Phil Brown admitted that he does not expect the former Colchester man to be available until the end of October. It is the latest blow to hit the Tigers with Craig Fagan ruled out of the remainder of their pre-season plans and Jimmy Bullard still working his way back to fitness after knee surgery at the start of the year. "Unfortunately it's bad news and Richard could be out for up to three months," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "It was an innocuous training ground accident that sometimes happens in football but fingers crossed Craig Fagan will be fit for the Chelsea game. "As it stands, Richard will be looking at a fairly lengthy lay-off. "But he's had long term injuries in the past and I know he's strong enough to come back."
