Tigers still waiting on FA

Hull City have denied reports suggesting their allegations against Cesc Fabregas are on the verge of collapsing. Phil Brown accused Fabregas of spitting at his assistant Brian Horton after Arsenal's FA Cup victory over the Tigers on 17th March. Fabregas insisted he did not spit at anybody but City pursued the matter and have submitted their evidence to the Football Association. It was claimed in an English newspaper on Wednesday morning that the FA was about to throw out their case. However, the Tigers have responded quickly to point out that the FA has yet to make a decision. A club statement read: "Hull City AFC would like to respond to a story on page 77 of today's national Daily Mail with regard to the ongoing investigation by the Football Association into events at the Emirates Stadium following our FA Cup quarter-final tie in March. "The Football Association is still awaiting Arsenal Football Club's response to their enquiries which we understand will be submitted later today (Wednesday). "Following receipt of this response the FA will then be in a position to decide upon the appropriate course of action."
