Tigers set for Boro boost

Nigel Pearson faces a selection dilemma this weekend with Daniel Ayala and Jay Simpson expected to return to contention for the clash at Middlesbrough. Central defender Ayala, on loan from Liverpool, missed out over the weekend with a hamstring strain while striker Simpson has returned to full training following a chest infection. Paul McShane (thigh) is another hoping to give the Tigers manager plenty to think about. Pearson said: "We'll have to see closer to the weekend. What's important is that the players feel that if they do well, they have a good chance of staying in the team. "It doesn't always happen like that but, for the most part, the only changes we have made recently have been forced upon us through injury or suspension. "We hope Daniel Ayala will be available for the weekend but we'll just have to wait and see on him. Jay Simpson is back in training after a chest infection. "We've had one or two knocks to contend with but hopefully we'll have more players available for the weekend."
