// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Hull City manager Phil Brown admits he is desperate to be able to select Jimmy Bullard, but will not be rushing the midfielder's return from injury.[LNB] The former Fulham star has played just 37 minutes for the Tigers after damaging cruciate knee ligaments following his £5million move to the KC Stadium in January.[LNB]Bullard, who Hull admitted was a risk-signing following a history of injuries, has since undergone an operation in America and is close to completing his rehabilitation.[LNB]Brown, though, maintains that he will resist the urge to select the 30-year-old, despite his ever-improving fitness and Hull's problems on the field.[LNB]"I'm having to fight the physio every day to get Jimmy out there because to me, he looks ready," the Tigers boss said in the Hull Daily Mail.[LNB]"To a physio, it's one of those when we are seven months into an eight-month injury and Jimmy having the history on the knee, you've got to make sure he's right.[LNB]"I'd have no doubt the knee is okay but it would be more to do with the effects of coming back too early.[LNB]"Maybe the strengthening or conditioning work would bring problems to other parts of his body so we have to be 100 per cent sure when Jimmy is released fully to the first-team squad."[LNB]
