Thomas on target in City win

Trialist Jerome Thomas made a positive impression on his first start for Hull with a goal in a 6-0 victory over North Ferriby at Church Road. Manager Phil Brown is taking a look at the 26-year-old winger after he was released by Premier League side Portsmouth this summer. Thomas, who made just five appearances last season, scored the only goal of the first half in the 34th minute while Craig Fagan also hit a post. But goals from Jamie Devitt, Nicky Featherstone, Nick Barmby and Caleb Folan (2) ensured a comfortable start to the Tigers` pre-season preparations.
