Thomas handed Tigers chance

Hull manager Phil Brown has confirmed winger Jerome Thomas has been invited to the KC Stadium for a trial. The 26-year-old made just five appearances last season before being released by Portsmouth, for whom he played for just three times - all as a substitute. Brown told the club`s official website: "Jerome hasn`t had the chance to realise his potential yet. He`ll be joining us on a 10-day trial period before the club head off to compete in the Barclays Asia Trophy in Beijing. "We haven`t seen Jerome play enough games over the past season or so to offer him a contract straight away. "However, we`ve given him the chance to show us what he can do, which also gives him the opportunity to take a look at City. The trial period allows for there to be no commitment from either party at this stage."
