Hull new-boy Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is determined to waste little time in forcing his way into the team. The former Celtic striker was handed a debut as a second-half substitute in Saturday's 4-1 defeat at Sunderland. However, he is desperate to force his way into manager Phil Brown's plans for next Saturday's home clash with Birmingham. Vennegoor of Hesselink said: "It was nice to come on and nice to play a part in the game. You want to do some more and it was a shame it wasn't possible. "But I am looking forward to doing some stuff in the future, some positive stuff, and let's build from here. "I have to get to know the boys and to gel a little bit, find my space in the team and do everything as positively as I can. I'll do that this week and see what happens next week."
