Steve Cotterill linked with Hull manager's job

Cotterill had been tipped to take over at Fratton Park, following the departure of Avram Grant to West Ham, but now Hull have entered the fray with talks understood to have taken place over the vacancy at the KC Stadium. [LNB]Former Portsmouth manager Paul Hart, who knows Pearson from their days as a coach at Leeds, has also been linked with the vacancy, but so far there has been no mention of Iain Dowie, whose short-term deal last season resulted in relegation. [LNB]With the Championship fixtures due to be released on Thursday, Pearson is said to be optimistic that he can install a new manager at least a week before Hull's players report for pre-season training on July 1 and preparations begin in earnest for the new campaign.
