Solano has a role to play - Pearson

Veteran Hull midfielder Nolberto Solano has been told he will have a key role to play for the Tigers this season by manager Nigel Pearson.[LNB] The 35-year-old, who signed a one-year deal after following Pearson from Leicester to the KC Stadium in the summer, has been restricted to four appearances due to loss of form and a thigh injury.[LNB]Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail: "He will have been a little bit frustrated with how the season has started for him, but hopefully people will see that he's a very valuable member of our squad.[LNB]"Even though he's in the latter years of his career, he's still got a significant part to play on and off the field for us."[LNB]Pearson, who also worked with the Peruvian when he was coach at Newcastle, added: "He brings a lot of experience and certainly, he's an excellent passer of the ball."[LNB]
