Simpson: We're getting it together

Hull striker Jay Simpson believes Nigel Pearson's side is only just starting to find its feet after a summer of upheaval. Pearson was installed as new manager in June and has since drafted in five new players, while a further 17 have been sold or released. But the Tigers turned in their best display so far to secure their second league win against Derby in midweek and Simpson revealed confidence is steadily growing. He told the Hull Daily Mail: "A lot of players have left the club and a lot have come so it takes time to gel. "But I think we're starting to show now that we're getting it together. I'm looking forward to Forest (at home) now on Saturday. "The atmosphere the fans create at the KC Stadium is a real buzz and our home form is very good, so hopefully we can continue that."
