Simpson swaps Gunners for Tigers

Jay Simpson has signed a three-year contract to join Hull City from Arsenal for an undisclosed fee - and could face Watford on Saturday.[LNB] Simpson has been chased by a number of clubs in the Championship, but a switch to the KC Stadium was always his preferred choice.[LNB]The likes of Bristol City and Leeds United had shown an interest in the striker, who scored twice in three League Cup appearances during his time at Arsenal.[LNB]He also undertook loan spells at Millwall, West Brom and Queens Park Rangers, and has now secured a permanent move away from Emirates Stadium.[LNB]The 21-year-old becomes Tigers manager Nigel Pearson's fourth signing following the deals for Nolberto Solano, James Harper and Robert Koren.[LNB]Simpson is expected to go straight into Pearson's squad for Saturday's Championship encounter at home to Watford.
