Scotland expected to join Wigan

Wigan remain favourites to sign Swansea striker Jason Scotland despite Barclays Premier League rivals Hull expressing an interest. The Latics have lodged a bid with the Welsh club as manager Roberto Martinez looks to reunite himself with the Trinidad and Tobago international, who enjoyed a successful spell under the Spaniard at the Liberty Stadium. Swansea have not yet accepted Wigan's offer but it seems only a matter of time before the move goes through - despite an inquiry from Hull. "I spoke to Brian Horton and he asked me what the bottom-line price would be for Jason," Scotland's agent Mike Berry told the Hull Daily Mail. "I said I thought a fee of £2million would probably be enough to get him in. My belief was that he'd be ideal for Hull, but I expect the Wigan deal to go ahead now."
