Ridsdale - No Tigers contact

Cardiff chairman Peter Ridsdale insists there has been no contact from Hull City over in-demand duo Joe Ledley and Ross McCormack. Tigers boss Phil Brown claimed he was put off by the Bluebirds' asking price for the talented pair after admitting they were on his transfer hit-list. But Ridsdale, who is currently in Portugal on the club's pre-season tour, is adamant that there has been no approach from the East Yorkshire outfit. Brown and his Hull troops are preparing for the new Premier League season in Italy, with the manager eager to improve his squad over the summer. "Joe Ledley and Ross McCormack are players that have done very, very well in the Championship," Brown said. "Yes we are interested, but not at the prices we have been quoted. "They'll be interesting again if the price comes down, but not the sum we have been quoted." But Ridsdale responded in the Western Mail: "Hull have not contacted me or the club once about anything. "No contact has been made, so I can't comment on this issue." Midfielder Ledley only has one year left on his existing contract with Cardiff, while striker McCormack only recently put pen-to-paper on an improved four-year deal.
