Team news for the Championship game between Preston North End and Hull City at Deepdale on Friday night.[LNB] Preston boss Darren Ferguson has failed in his bid to sign new players on loan before the clash with Hull.[LNB]North End had been linked with moves for a number of players, including Stoke pair Michael Tonge and Danny Pugh.[LNB]Yet Ferguson said: "There were certain players we had spoken about. One is now not available and the other, unfortunately, we financially can't do it.[LNB]"We will keep trying, but will go with the ones we've got on Friday."[LNB]Ferguson will have Iain Hume available again after the terms of his loan from Barnsley prevented him playing against the Tykes on Tuesday.[LNB]Billy Jones was substituted at half-time against Barnsley suffering from the effects of a virus and could now be replaced by David Gray.[LNB]Hull will be without suspended midfielder John Bostock for the televised clash with fellow strugglers Preston.[LNB]Bostock received two yellow cards in the midweek draw at Leeds and sits out a one-game ban, but his loss is compensated for by the timely return of fellow midfielder Robert Koren, who has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury.[LNB]Player/coach Nick Barmby could also be recalled to the squad after being rested for the Leeds game due to a slight hamstring strain.[LNB]Tigers manager Nigel Pearson has no other new injury or suspension problems, but midfielder Jimmy Bullard (knee), striker Caleb Folan (leg) and defender Paul McShane (thigh) are still ruled out as Hull chase their first league win in nine matches.
