Phil Brown's position as Hull City manager is safe for now - but incoming executive chairman Adam Pearson has warned that results need to improve fast.[LNB]Pearson has confirmed that the KC Stadium chief will be in charge for the visit of Stoke City, but Brown's new boss has cranked up the pressure ahead of Sunday's match.[LNB]Sportsmail revealed on Saturday that the club had launched an internal investigation had been launched into every transfer carried out during Brown's time in charge.[LNB] Unpleasant viewing: Pearson and Hull owner Russell Bartlett (left) were at Burnley[LNB]Hull have won just three of their last 33 Barclays Premier League matches and Saturday's 2-0 loss at Burnley has left them 18th in the table. [LNB]Pearson said: 'I'm desperate for Phil to win some games and then all this conjecture can go away.[LNB]'He is definitely the manager of this club and he's got a big game against Stoke. But we need wins, we need results.[LNB]'He knows that and I know that but nothing would give me greater pleasure than for us to get a win on Sunday.[LNB]'It's a results business but he retains my full support. I'll be there to provide as much support as is possible for the manager.'[LNB]The Tigers were last week warned they could face a deficit of £23million if they are relegated this season.[LNB] Testing times: Tigers boss Brown is under pressure[LNB]Pearson oversaw the club's rise from near bankruptcy to theChampionship before the club was bought out by a consortium headed byPaul Duffen.[LNB]He subsequently moved to Derby but left Pride Park last week, andDuffen's sudden resignation last Thursday then paved the way for areturn to Hull.[LNB]Among his immediate tasks will be trimming a wage bill that has reached £40million.[LNB]'We've got some issues but nothing that can't be solved with a bitof hard work and team spirit. We'll get them sorted, I'm sure,' saidPearson.[LNB]'Everything I can see on those accounts looks to me as though it'ssolvable and I don't think there should be any dramatic panic about ourfinancial situation.[LNB]'Obviously things need tweaking and the wage bill needs looking atbut it is not something that frightens or alarms me. I just see it as achallenge.[LNB] Bashed by Burnley: Graham Alexander's double did the damage on Saturday[LNB][LNB]'It is normal for football clubs to have debts and there isn't a great deal of that here.[LNB]'I think it is just that the wage bill needs addressing, the squadsize needs addressing and obviously we will work harder on commercialrevenue streams as well.[LNB]'If there were no challenges or no issues I'm sure I wouldn't be standing here.'[LNB]Pearson said he would continue to use the medium to ensuresupporters were hearing 'the truth and the facts rather than quite alot of spin and hype'.[LNB]He added: 'We want them to hear the truth and the facts. Hopefully they know that's what I'll be giving them.'[LNB] Burnley 2 Hull City 0: Brown faces D-day after ref's calls are hard on TigersHull boss Brown heaps praise on 'un-Brazilian' GeovanniBurnley 2 Hull City 0: Barmby hits out at referee after controversial afternoonBrown but not out: 'My players are still behind me,' declares Hull City bossHULL CITY FC
