Phil Brown faces touchline ban from FA after row with Joe Kinnear

He is due to appear before Football Association disciplinary officials to answer the misconduct charge he attracted following a row with Newcastle United counterpart Joe Kinnear. However, he has already been in trouble with the FA this season after kicking a water bottle at the fourth official during his side's 5-0 defeat to Wigan. [LNB]He was handed a fine and warned about his future conduct. [LNB]Should Brown be banished to the directors' box it could undermine his efforts to steer them to Premier League safety. [LNB]Kinnear will not appear before the disciplinary committee in London today as he is recovering from a triple heart bypass operation. [LNB]He will face FA officials at a date to be fixed but is not due to return to work at St James' Park until mid-April at the earliest. [LNB]
