Pearson warns: Just worry about ourselves

Hull boss Nigel Pearson is urging his side to concentrate on their own form as the npower Championship play-off race reaches a tense climax. The Tigers are among a host of clubs chasing a coveted top-six finish but their hopes were dealt a blow with the 1-0 defeat against Millwall. However, Pearson wants his players to forget about the results of their promotion rivals and focus on City's run-in. "You can get too wrapped up in what's happening outside," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "You've got to try and look after yourself. "If you're not careful, the mathematics of it and all the different permutations of what could happen, you end up taking your eye off the ball and what you're doing yourself. "Three years ago I was involved in a relegation battle at Southampton where things were changing daily. It's a similar sort of thing here. You can't spend too much time dwelling on what other people are doing, you've got to be single-minded in your focus."
