Pearson targets more away-day success with Hull

Manager Nigel Pearson has targeted a steady flow of points away from home after Hull claimed their first win on the road since March 2009 on Saturday.

Goals from Robert Koren and Tom Cairney secured the Tigers a 2-0 victory at Norwich, much to the delight of Pearson and their long-suffering fans.

"I'm delighted about the result because it was a very difficult game for us," Pearson said.

"We gave ourselves a few problems early on by giving the ball away too often, but it was always going to be more important that we got the right result.

"When you look at the relief on the faces of the players and the fans, it's been a long time coming.

"It was important that we got ourselves up and running away from home. Psychologically, it's an important result for us but we have to build on it. It's a sweet victory, but it's only a start."
