ew Hull boss Nigel Pearson has admitted his surprise at the willingless Milan Mandaric showed to let him leave Leicester for the KC Stadium.[LNB] Pearson came close to leading Leicester to a second successive promotion before the Foxes were knocked out of last season's Championship play-offs by Cardiff.[LNB]But he is believed to have become frustrated at various problems at the Walkers Stadium including transfer deals falling through and negotiations breaking down over his contract.[LNB]He told the Leicester Mercury: "I think it surprised Hull and myself that they allowed them to speak to me. I didn't expect Leicester to grant permission. That sequence of events as much as anything else helped me to make my decision."[LNB]He added: "There are one or two things that have gone on behind the scenes but I don't need to go into that.[LNB]"I'm not going to spend much time looking backwards and wondering too much, that's just how it was."
