Pearson: Players must believe

Hull manager Nigel Pearson believes the biggest component missing from his side so far in a disappointing season is self-belief.[LNB] The Tigers rescued a point from a 1-1 draw at Barnsley on Saturday but have struggled to get to grips with the Championship under new boss Pearson following relegation.[LNB]Pearson said: "The most frustrating thing is the way we, collectively, don't respond in the right way when things don't go our way.[LNB]"In the second half (at Barnsley), the application, spirit and desire the players showed was admirable but we've got to be more pro-active and on the front foot a little bit more.[LNB]"We've got to show the belief from the start of the game. We're better than where we are at the moment, I'm convinced about that, and although we had a few players missing on Saturday, I still think we should be good enough."
