Hull manager Nigel Pearson has hailed Nick Barmby as a "fantastic example" following his transition from player to player-coach.[LNB] Barmby, 36, could be in his final season as a player after taking on more coaching responsibilities at the KC Stadium, but Pearson insists he still has a big role to play on the pitch.[LNB]Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail: "Nick Barmby, at 36, is a fantastic example for anyone for what you can still achieve no matter of your age."[LNB]On Barmby's coaching duties, Pearson added: "It'll be good for his long-term development because I'm sure he wants to stay in the game as a coach in some capacity.[LNB]"Clearly he can still bring something to the pitch for us, but it's never easy for a player-coach to get the balance right.[LNB]"For him to have been solely in the dressing room to now have that added responsibility can be tough. You'd have to ask him if he's enjoying it, but I think he's doing very well."[LNB]
