Pearson: Brown has my full support

Incoming Hull chairman Adam Pearson has assured manager Phil Brown he will still be in charge for this weekend's clash against Stoke.[LNB] Brown's position is under enormous scrutiny as Pearson prepares to begin a second spell at the Tigers helm. Hull have won just three of their last 33 Barclays Premier League matches and Saturday's 2-0 loss at Burnley has left them 18th in the table.[LNB] There had been speculation that losing at Turf Moor could spell the end for Brown, but no decision is likely to be made this week, with Pearson telling the Hull Daily Mail: "Phil is the manager of Hull City and he still will be next Sunday."[LNB] He added: "It's a results business but he retains my full support. I'll be there to provide as much support as is possible for the manager.[LNB] "I'll bring a fresh pair of eyes to it and hopefully, in conjunction with the manager, we can turn things around on the pitch."[LNB] Pearson, who left Derby last week, is returning to Hull following the resignation of Paul Duffen.
