Pearson aims for play-offs

Hull manager Nigel Pearson has urged his side to win their final four games in a bid to make the npower Championship play-offs after defeating Doncaster 3-1 at the KC Stadium. Matty Fryatt kept the Tigers' play-off hopes alive by netting a brace against their Yorkshire rivals, scoring from the penalty spot and then a stooping header either side of the break. Hull dominated first-half proceedings and took the lead through a Richard Garcia tap-in, although the visitors equalised seven minutes later through Franck Moussa. However, Fryatt's double salvo secured Hull just their seventh home win of the season to reduce the gap on Leeds in the final play-off berth to two points. While admitting he did not know how many wins would secure a play-off spot, Pearson has urged his side to remain focused on their own games and securing maximum points from their remaining matches. "What I would say is in the four games we have left now, the margin of error is the same as it was a few weeks where we had six, seven, eight, nine left and maybe five away, six away," he said. "It remains the same sort of challenge and we have got to try and win our games and that is it."
