Hull's Robbie Brady admits the prospect of taking a 50 per cent pay cut if they drop to the Championship has been at the back of players' minds in their battle against relegation.
The Tigers have notched up back-to-back 1-0 victories against Crystal Palace and Liverpool to give Steve Bruce's side a great chance of avoiding the drop despite facing perhaps the toughest run-in of any side in the Premier League.
Bruce revealed last week that relegation would see all playing staff and himself taking a major pay cut but after the two victories, one more win should see the Tigers safe - but they face Arsenal at home on Monday followed by games against Tottenham, Manchester United and Burnley.
Brady said of the threat of a pay cut: "It is in people's minds - it's your life at the end of the day and you want to be here making the best living for yourself.
"But we just need to concentrate on the job ahead. We've put ourselves in a good position with the two wins but we need to get ready to go again.
"We said that after we beat Palace last weekend and we said it again straight after beating Liverpool on Tuesday night.
"The job is not done yet and we'll keep on going until we know we're safe and beyond."
Brady warned that Arsenal, who cruised to a 3-0 win in the same fixture last season, are in ominous form.
He added: "They are one of the best teams in the Premier League, they move the ball so well so we have to be switched on.
"Alexis Sanchez has been excellent this season but he's not the only one to watch so it's going to be a tough job to shut them out.
"But the mood has definitely changed in the camp. That is what two wins can do for you. But the job is not done and we have to keep going.
"You do feel the pressure, as that is only natural. But it is good. I can't call how many points we will need. We just want to get a good result on Monday and to take it from there."
Bruce is expected to keep the side that has pulled off the last two wins but he should also have striker Nikica Jelavic on the bench - the Croatian striker has been sidelined since having surgery on a knee problem in March.
Bruce said: "Jelavic has trained all week and that is great news for us.
"We know how important he has been to us this season because 25 of the points we've picked up have come with him in the team."
