No doubting Hull desire - Dowie

Iain Dowie insists his Hull players care about whether the club can secure Premier League survival this season.[LNB] Hull could have made a big step towards safety last weekend at home to relegation rivals Burnley but let an early lead slip at the KC Stadium.[LNB]The Tigers ended up suffering a 4-1 setback - Burnley's first away win of the season - which left the two sides four points behind fourth-placed West Ham, with Dowie's men having a game in hand on both Burnley and West Ham.[LNB]Hull's capitulation led some fans to question the team's desire and although Dowie has no concerns, he has told his players they must show they have the spirit to beat the drop at Birmingham on Saturday.[LNB]"I don't see people not caring, not at all," Dowie told the Hull Daily Mail.[LNB]"I understand where fans are coming from. We've got to understand this is a working-class area and the minimum people require is to see players put a shift in - and rightly so.[LNB]"Things like phone-ins can bring 1,000 different opinions but there's a great majority of the players here that care.[LNB]"I've not seen any uncaring attitudes. I wouldn't accept it on the training pitch or on the field on a weekend.[LNB]"But we must show a caring and passionate display at Birmingham. We can talk all we want, we've got to go and put it into practice and provide a response."
