25 June 2010 16:08
The first set of televised games have been announced, and there is no Hull City fixture amongst them. The season opener will be Norwich City v Watford on Friday 6th August. The rest of the Championship play their first game the following day. Southampton v Plymouth will be the lunchtime game, with the BBC showing Leeds v Derby at tea-time. Sky Sports show their third game of the weekend on the Sunday, Cardiff v Sheffield United. Portsmouth's League Cup game at Stevenage will be televised live, but otherwise none of the relegated Premier League teams have been chosen for coverage in the first month of the season. City's first four fixtures - at home to Swansea, away to Millwall, Watford (home) and Docnaster (away) - are therefore unlikely to be moved from Saturday 3 o'clock kick-offs. There is also no League Cup 1st Round date to confirm as both City and Burnley received byes into the 2nd Round. The first 10 confirmed televised games can be found on the Football League website.
