Hull City have given striker Caleb Folan permission to pursue a move to Major League Soccer.
Folan, 28, has another 18 months left on his contract but has flown to the US for a week-long assessment, with a view to joining an MLS team ready for the start of the season next month.
He has played only two League games this season, the last as a half-time substitute against Barnsley in October.
Hull's head of football operations Adam Pearson said: 'It's worth him having a look at it we'll see what happens.'
Meanwhile, Hull will make a fresh attempt to sign Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns at the end of the season. Danns, 28, is out of contract in the summer.
