Mendy hints at Tigers exit

Bernard Mendy has revealed that he could leave Hull City this summer should a suitable offer be made. The versatile Frenchman only joined the Tigers 12 months ago, completing a switch from Paris St Germain as a free agent, but has hinted that he could be on the move once again over the coming weeks. The 27-year-old was a regular for Phil Brown's side last season, making 33 appearances as Hull successfully beat the drop, but that has done little to persuade him that his long-term future lies at the KC Stadium. He has admitted that were an interesting proposal to be put to him during the current transfer window, then he would be prepared to discuss the possibility of taking on a new challenge elsewhere. "I had a good last season with Hull City. I still have two years on my contract," Mendy told RMC. "When I came here I told the club officials that the project was interesting but I wanted to be free to go if there was an opportunity to play for a big club. "I know that other English clubs are following me and I will know more in August. "If there is a good offer from a good club, I will leave." Meanwhile, Hull are hoping to open talks with Bobby Zamora this weekend after seeing a £5million bid for the striker accepted by Fulham. The former West Ham and Tottenham frontman is currently in Australia on the Cottagers' pre-season tour but he is set to meet with Tigers officials upon his return to England. Brown is also hoping to meet with Sunderland's Republic of Ireland international Daryl Murphy in the next few days as he looks to bolster his attacking options.
