Bernard Mendy has admitted he could leave Hull City this summer and claimed he came close to returning to Paris St Germain. The Frenchman caught the eye for the Tigers as they clung on to their Premier League status on the final day of the season. Mendy, who first came to the Premier League with Bolton, was a key member of Phil Brown's squad due to his talent and versatility. The 27-year-old, who has been capped three times by his country, claims he is wanted by rival Premier League teams, and was also targeted by his former club PSG Mendy told French radio station RMC: "I had a good last season with Hull City. I still have two years on my contract. "When I came here I told the club officials that the project was interesting but I wanted to be free to go if there was an opportunity to play for a big club. "I know that other English clubs are following me and I will know more in August. "If there is a good offer from a good club, I will leave. "I was close to returning to Paris but they signed Christophe Jallet. Antoine Kombouare (PSG coach) was keen on me and was very kind to my agents."
