McShane wants Hunt to stay

Hull defender Paul McShane is anxious for his association with international team-mate Stephen Hunt to continue at club level. Hunt has been the subject of three failed bids from Wolves this month and manager Phil Brown's resolve to keep him could be tested again before Monday's transfer deadline. The winger has been one of Hull's most influential players since his arrival from Reading last summer and McShane does not want to see his fellow Irishman move on. McShane said: "He has done very well here, he has worked really hard and scored a few vital goals. He gives 100% on the training ground and pitch and certainly gets his rewards from it. "I think he is a big part of the team and a great lad to have around the place. He is full of enthusiasm and that rubs off on people. If he wants to go he would be a big miss."
