Manchester United's Manucho complete's Hull loan deal

The 25-year-old Angola international has received the necessary work permit and will go straight into the squad for tomorrow's Barclays Premier League clash against Arsenal at the KC Stadium. [LNB]Manucho is Hull's second signing of the January transfer window after yesterday's permanent capture of winger Kevin Kilbane from Wigan. [LNB]His arrival was made possible after Sunderland's recall of defender Paul McShane earlier in the week freed up one of Hull's two domestic loan slots. Wigan forward Marlon King, who is on a season-long loan, continues to fill the other. [LNB]Manucho joined United a year ago but spent part of last season on loan at Panathinaikos while he awaited a work permit. He has since struggled to break into the United side and has made just one Premier League appearance. [LNB]He follows the path of another United striker, Fraizer Campbell, who played a key role in Hull's promotion last season after a loan move to the KC Stadium. [LNB]Manager Phil Brown said: "The lad is a proven goalscorer at certain levels, though not yet at Premier League level. [LNB]"He is 6ft 3in, 6ft 4in, great stature; he has a good eye for goal and is certainly good aerially. He has a presence about him. [LNB]"He hasn't got the pace of Fraizer Campbell, but we hope he has the goalscoring instincts." [LNB]Brown believes his previous good relationship with United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, particularly over the signing of Campbell last year, has stood him in good stead. [LNB]He added: "Every manager will go to see Manchester United reserves, but the relationship with Sir Alex is key. [LNB]"There are a number of players at United we'd be interested in, Manucho being one of them." [LNB][LNB][LNB]
