Jozy itching for action

American striker Jozy Altidore cannot wait for more Premier League action after finally making his debut for Hull City. The 19-year-old made his belated bow for the Tigers in the victory over Bolton on Saturday when he came off the bench to set up Kamel Ghilas to score the only goal of the game. The teenager's delight in the victory contrasted sharply to the week of frustration he had to endure after running into bureaucratic problems trying to get back into the country after he returned home for an international fixture. The delay meant he missed the Tigers' opening games against Chelsea and Tottenham but he is now raring to go. Altidore, who is on a season-long loan from Villarreal, said: "I had to travel a lot, back and forth in the States and to different countries to play games. "I then had a team-mate that got the swine flu, which complicated things even more, and then there were visa problems with my passport. "In terms of complications and frustrations I've had it all but when I got here there was nothing that was going to keep me from playing." Altidore finally arrived back in London on Friday morning, eight days later than planned, and was helicoptered straight back to Hull by the club. He admitted: "I was losing faith, I felt it wasn't going to go through and it was all going to be for nothing. "But everyone did a great job to try to get me here and I really appreciate it." He got a massive buzz playing against Bolton and can not wait to taste more action out on the pitch. Altidore added: "It was incredible. I couldn't sleep beforehand and I was really excited to get here. It was great, all I expected it to be and more. "I just can't wait to continue on with the club and to play more games like this. It was fantastic."
