Jozy and the Tigers show their claws

Jozy Altidore is determined to make up for lost time after finally landing in the Barclays Premier League. The American striker made a swift impact on his Hull debut as he came off the bench to set up Kamel Ghilas for the only goal in a 1-0 defeat of Bolton. It ended more than a week of frustration for the 19-year-old after being forced to miss the Tigers' season-opening games against Chelsea and Tottenham. Altidore was kicking his heels in New York after returning home for an international fixture but running into bureaucratic problems trying to get back. Altidore, who is on a season-long loan from Villarreal, said: "I had to travel a lot, back and forth in the States and to different countries to play games. "I then had a team-mate that got swine flu, which complicated things even more, and then there were visa problems with my passport. In terms of complications and frustrations I've had it all but when I got here there was nothing that was going to keep me from playing."
