Hull's Folan scores in MLS trial

Hull City striker Caleb Folan has begun his trial spell with Colorado Rapids by scoring the winning goal in a pre-season game against LA Galaxy.Folan, 28, headed to the United States last week for talks with several clubs after falling down the pecking order at the KC Stadium. [LNB]The Republic of Ireland international became Hull's first-ever £1m signing in 2007 when he joined from Wigan. [LNB]He has made 64 appearances for the Tigers, scoring 12 goals. [LNB]City assistant manager Craig Shakespeare said: "He's gone to have a look at them as much as them having a look at him and we've granted permission to do that." [LNB]Folan lined up against a Galaxy team without David Beckham, but featuring former Premier League players Landon Donovan and Juan-Pablo Angel. [LNB]The former Chesterfield striker has been hampered by injuries during his stay at the KC Stadium, with his last appearance coming in the 1-1 draw at Barnsley on 30 October, when he suffered a knee injury in a collision with Tykes keeper Luke Steele.
