Tigers waiting on Quinn

Hull manager Steve Bruce is hoping to have midfielder Stephen Quinn back in contention for Tuesday night's crunch clash at automatic promotion rivals Watford.

Quinn twisted his knee during training on Thursday and missed Saturday's win at Huddersfield.

"He jarred his knee and was uncomfortable over the weekend," Bruce said. "He had scans on Friday and there's nothing too serious.

"Hopefully he might be available for Tuesday."

Meanwhile, Bruce reaffirmed that a two-year contract has already been agreed with matchwinner George Boyd, who scored his fourth goal in six appearances for the Tigers since arriving from Peterborough in an initial loan deal last month.

"The deal's done," Bruce added. "Even if we're not promoted."

Gianfranco Zola has plenty to ponder ahead of Watford's trip.

Defender Marco Cassetti limped off early in the second half of Good Friday's 3-3 draw at home to Burnley and will be assessed, with Lloyd Doyley on standby to start from the off having replaced the Italian.

Playmaker Almen Abdi recovered from his groin injury to start against the Clarets but goalkeeper Manuel Almunia (hamstring) missed his fifth match in succession and will again be monitored ahead of the clash at the KC Stadium.

Zola made five changes against Burnley from last time out - with Championship Player of the Year Matej Vydra certain to be recalled to face the Tigers having been rested to the bench.

Defenders Nyron Nosworthy (Achilles), Neuton (dislocated shoulder) and Tommie Hoban (ankle) as well as midfielder John Eustace (back) all continue to miss out.
