Team news for Friday night's Championship opener between Hull and Blackpool at the KC Stadium.[LNB] Hull will be without striker Aaron Mclean for their opening game of the season against Blackpool.[LNB]Mclean is struggling with a calf injury but manager Nigel Pearson hopes to include fellow forward Jay Simpson in his squad.[LNB]Simpson missed the final pre-season game against Chesterfield on Saturday due to a knock but returned to training on Wednesday and is expected to make the substitutes' bench, with summer signing Dele Adebola favourite to start alongside Matty Fryatt up front.[LNB]Defender Paul McShane (calf) and winger Cameron Stewart (knee) remain long-term absentees.[LNB]Hull's other summer signings, goalkeepers Peter Gulacsi and Adriano Basso, defender Jack Hobbs and midfielder Paul McKenna, all featured against Chesterfield and will be hoping to make their debuts.[LNB]Blackpool boss Ian Holloway could field several debutants in the clash.[LNB]While the Seasiders have lost a host of players since their relegation last season, most notably captain Charlie Adam and playmaker David Vaughan, plenty of new faces have arrived.[LNB]They include Bojan Djordjic, Matthew Hill, Kevin Phillips, Barry Ferguson, Craig Sutherland, Miguel Llera and Tom Ince.[LNB]Ferguson, a £750,000 signing from Birmingham, looks set to emerge as a key player for Holloway's men as they bid to bounce straight back into the top flight.[LNB]Assistant boss Steve Thompson said: "He is a good leader on and off the pitch and that will be important to us."[LNB]Meanwhile, rookie striker Louis Almond, 19, has joined Barrow on loan until January.
