Hull release Zayatte registration

Hull have confirmed they have released Kamil Zayatte's registration to Turkish club Konyaspor for "nominal compensation".

The Tigers revealed last week Zayatte had left the club in order to return home to France on compassionate grounds, effectively tearing up his reported £20,000-a-week contract which still had 18 months to run.

A club statement read: "Kamil leaves with the club's best wishes and regards for his future career."

Hull paid Swiss club Young Boys £2.5million for Zayatte in January 2009 following a long-term loan spell. Manager Nigel Pearson has since signed Tunisia midfielder Tijani Belaid, 23, until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
