Hull City v Chelsea Live

Hull City face Premier League title favourites Chelsea at the KC Stadium on Tuesday evening looking to grab a much-needed victory to pull them clear of the relegation zone. The Tigers had the perfect opportunity to dispose of fellow strugglers Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, but after throwing the lead away twice to draw 2-2, Phil Brown's men remain in the thick of it at the wrong end of the table. Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Stephen Hunt popped up with the goals for Hull and they will be looking for more of the same from these two against a Chelsea side that are flying at the top of the tree. Chelsea claimed yet another success on Saturday evening when they disposed of Burnley at Turf Moor. Nicolas Anelka opened the scoring for the Blues - his sixth goal in six games - before Steven Fletcher grabbed an equaliser. However, it was Chelsea and England captain John Terry who was writing the headlines at the final whistle as his headed effort secured all three points to end a turbulent week for the centre-half. Chelsea have now won their last five Premier League outings yet Hull have failed to win in their last nine and this barren run sees them sit second from bottom as their drop fears grow. Carlo Ancelotti's Blues are likely to be without the services of Juliano Belletti (calf), Michael Essien and Jose Bosingwa (both knee) as the trio continue on their road to recovery. Long-term knee victim Ian Ashbee is expected to be missing for City until the summer and effervescent playmaker Jimmy Bullard (knee) may find this game comes along that little bit too soon as he nears a return to the first-team fold. With the Africa Cup of Nations now at a close, Chelsea could welcome back Salomon Kalou and Didier Drogba to further add to City's problems ahead of the clash.
