Hull City to wait on Bullard injury update

Hull City do not expect to discover the extent of another knee injury suffered by Jimmy Bullard until Tuesday.

Bullard, who had only just returned to first-team action following nine months on the sidelines with ligament damage to his right knee, limped out of Saturday's 3-0 defeat at Aston Villa with another knee injury - this time to his left leg.

The 31-year-old left the pitch in tears after only 19 minutes following a clash with Villa's James Milner and the Tigers are refusing to speculate on the extent of the midfielder's latest injury concern.

"The club would like to announce that Jimmy Bullard is having a scan at 6pm this evening (Monday)," read a statement on their official website.

"There is currently no swelling around the knee which is being taken as a positive sign.

"The result of the scan will not be known until tomorrow (Tuesday) when a statement will be issued and in the meantime the club will not be making any further comment."
